Bio
Carla Corbett Schiller is Registered Professional Biologist and a Qualified Environmental Professional as defined in the Riparian Areas Protection Regulation. Carla has a strong technical and applied background and has been working as a professional environmental consultant in BC since 2009. Her specialty is ensuring projects smoothly meet environmental requirements. Carla’s broad field of experience encompasses such topics as environmental impact assessments, habitat inventories, compensation habitat design and habitat restoration/enhancement, federal, provincial, and municipal permitting requirements, regulatory liaison and negotiations, erosion and sediment control planning and monitoring, and environmental project planning and management.
Carla has been involved in a number of diverse projects. Her field experience includes freshwater fish and invertebrate inventories, vegetation, bird, and wildlife surveys, riparian and stream assessments, and soil and water quality management and monitoring. She has worked on a variety of sites ranging from small housing developments to large linear infrastructure projects and is familiar with occupational hazards and safety procedures in such environments.
As a senior environmental project manager Carla is responsible for budget creation and adherence, time management, cost tracking, scope of work definition, and proposal preparation. She provides technical guidance on environmental permitting and compliance in order to foresee and avoid issues for her clients. She prepares detailed regulatory agency applications and produces technical fish, wildlife, and vegetation reports, as well as environmental management and environmental protection plans.

Darcy Schiller

Bio
Mr. Darcy Schiller is Registered Professional Biologist and a Qualified Environmental Professional as defined in the Riparian Areas Protection Regulation. Darcy also teaches in the Environmental Technician Certificate Program at Vancouver Island University. Darcy has exceptional field experience and has been working in the environmental consulting field in BC and Alberta since 2007. His specialty is field work of all types, in any terrain. He has exceptional experience in operational stream surveys and classification, stream channel management, instream feature construction, riparian and vegetation assessments and restoration, fish habitat assessment and enhancement design, fish population studies, freshwater fish and invertebrate inventories, vegetation, bird, and wildlife surveys, erosion and sediment control planning and monitoring, and environmental project planning and monitoring. He has many years of experience with planning and monitoring stream crossings, directional drilling work, and large infrastructure projects.
Darcy’s broad field of experience includes being the on-site representative for clients such as CN Rail and Spectra Energy, in order to liaise with regulatory agencies as well as be the point of contact for inquiries from the public and media.
Darcy’s wide-ranging experience includes extensive work for linear infrastructure projects such as railways, roads and highways, pipelines and mines. He has been the lead biologist for large, multi disciplinary teams and managed multiple crews for survey expeditions. He is very familiar with the emergency works procedures and facilitates safely getting work done while remaining in line with environmental best practices.
Darcy provides on site technical guidance and creative thinking on environmental compliance and best practices in order to accomplish the work while mitigating environmental impacts and preventing delays for his clients.
